A SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE ON THE SIGNS AND WARNINGS WE ALL RECEIVETEXT IN GREEN ARE LINKS - CLICK ON THEMFORECASTS-FORESIGHT-FORETELLS-FORETHOUGHT-PREDICTIONS-PROPHECIES-INSIGHT-INTUITION In a data driven society we should expect and demand greater accuracy within the information that we consume. One of the problems we face is the "way" information is presented. Another problem we encounter is the "source" of that information. Any information that is compromised in any "way" distorts and taints the value of that data. As such any "tarnished" information must be regarded as knowingly "inaccurate" or an outright "lie." The word "fake" is defined in terms of deceit through imitating or replicating not creating. A "fake" is a counterfeit, forgery or a scam. For a "fake" to exist there must be a real and original that it copied. The idea with a "fake" is to appear to be exactly the same as the original, not as a different version in appearance or of truth. The purpose of a "Fake" is to represent itself as an exact believable replication of real. It has to look like "Apple or Gucci" to be sold as an "Apple or Gucci." "News," falls under two categories either its real or its a lie. Therefore, there is no such thing as "Fake news." "News" is defined as a fresh and newly occurring event or noteworthy information that happened, is happening or is expected to happen. "News" itself is impartial! If an event occurs it is called "news." If something did not happen as we are told it did, just call it a lie. The term "Fake news" discredits the event, not just the reporting of it. "Fake news" is an all inclusive, broad term with the connotation of throwing out the baby with the bath water. Keep in mind that any event or occurrence "itself" is "true news," even if the way it's presented is "fake." This is what we call "SPIN." Its purpose is to promote one side of a matter above another. Such terminology suggests that we completely disregard any shred of truth based upon the bias of the report, the reporter or the reporting process. EVERY WISE PERSON KNOWS that all articles, news, speeches and proclamations are presented from the writers or speakers point of view. All BOOKS and all publications may be considered as NEWS written from the author's perspective. There are no exceptions to the inclusion of perspective in writing, even in The Holy Bible, The Nobel Koran or any other inspired text. Even though we strive to be objective while writing these posts it is very likely that our personal frame of reference will find its way into this discourse. WISDOM teaches us to deal with information in the same way we eat fish, and that is to not swallow or choke on the bones. The first news that leaked in China, regarding the spread of Covid-19, by the now dead doctor was labeled by that regime as "FAKE NEWS." There is little protection in China for whistle blowers. The fact is that all communication is delivered in some context. The purpose of context is to deliver information in terms where it can be fully assessed and understood by relating the circumstances of the situation. Biases and perspectives have a tendency to corrupt context. Context represents the settings and surrounding factors which paint a rough or rosy picture. Context confirms or condemns an action based on appearance and presentation. It take courage to put controversial issues in an unbiased context that the average person can understand. It can also be costly, career wise. As we read about and study the lives of many of the greatest philanthropist, priests and prophets, the common denominator among them was that they maintained truth and integrity at all costs even if it meant their freedom or their life! Even in the midst of all the people surrounding these great pioneers, they generally stood alone. They may not have been lonely as far as friends, family or acquaintances but in their spirit and development of thought there were few others they could share them with. There is a distinct difference between being lonely and being alone. "Through desire a man having separated himself seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom." The privilege of gaining insight comes with a price. Predictions and "predictive abilities" are not a private or secretive art, but without sharing with others on the same journey it can be awfully lonely. Anyone can participate in the practice of perception, but without outside critique as a layer of protection deception can become a part of the process and predicament. There is a fine line between prophesy and the ability to predict or "see into the future." A prophet needs no underlying reasoned basis to authoritatively proclaim what they know. They receive their information outside of themselves from an external source like God. Most predictions are generally formed from data or insight derived by obtaining and then understanding the handwriting on the wall. This is what we might term as recognizing the signs of the times. Accuracy is the bottom line. Heralding what is either seen or received can have the same effect whether it is true or false. The down side of heralding embellishments, exaggerations and lies is that it effects the ignorant and naive dis-proportionally to embrace error. There appears to be a certain level of meditation, privacy and study required to obtain any significant level of accuracy or expertise in the forecasting/foretelling arena. This is not about crystal balls, divination, horoscopes, palm readings or wigi boards. There are techniques, and there is both an art and a science behind looking into, seeing and accurately relating future events. There is a caveat to predictions. Although they may be accurate they may not turn out to be true. Predictions serve as warnings as well as lessons. We observe, ponder and apply knowledge every day in anticipation of its results. No analytics', charts, maps, models or projections are 100% accurate. These tools simply assist us in having some idea about what to expect. Anyone who has paid attention to the weather forecasts over the past few decades knows that the accuracy of such predictions have improved by leaps and bounds. Growing and maturing in spirit operates the same way. Spiritual discernment allows us to see the forces operating behind the scenes, and like the weather forecasts anticipate results. Most prophets only get to see the shadow of a future event or occurrence not the actual image of it. They may see and predict the nature of the trouble coming without knowing the specifics of how it will occur. God only, knows the exact specific details of an event before it happens. Human perspective is limited even in direct revelations. Truth has a way of being received as terrific or terrifying. We all have chosen at one time or another, whether consciously or unconsciously, to remain unseeing in situations where “we could know, and should know, but don’t know because it makes us "feel" better not to know. This is the plight of the prophets and the people their predictions serve. There's a price to be paid for playing a role in predictions. Too many predictions only bring tidings of bad news. Perhaps this is why the first four book of the new testament are titled the Gospel that is the "good news" of Jesus Christ. Today's predictions during this crisis appears to have more bad news then good. It is easy to make predictions while observing trends. This is where sayings like "things will probably get worse before they get better," come from. Words such as likely, maybe, possibly and probably "generally" accompany speculations. When we simply anticipate future events and occurrences it is not predictive or prophetic it is speculative. Speculating is the weakest form of prediction. Speculation allows us to form theories and make conjectures without any firm evidence. It's natural for us to wonder about the multiple possibilities that come to our minds or are suggested by others. When we speculate, it allows us to use our imagination. Along with our perception, reasoning, intuition, memory and will; our imagination is one of the most powerful intellectual faculties. It is our imagination that allows us to consider possibilities in an open-minded manner. However, Speculation can be dangerous if misapplied or misunderstood. This is one of the ways conspiracy theories emerge. The remainder of this post primarily focuses on speculations, predictions and spiritually prophetic utterances. It is important to note that in spite of whatever type of proclamation is given about future events there is always a chance that it can be superseded by the actions we take. The one exception is a judgement. In the same way that a sentence is handed down, a judgement is final. Although it may be appealed, rarely is it overturned. Let's speculate about this Covid-19 virus. Doesn't it seem to be more then one virus or at least more then one strain of this virus? The basis for this assumption is that there doesn't appear to be any uniformity in the symptoms or cycles of sickness and recovery. Why are some people a-symptomatic while others die within days of infection? Can't we speculate that both Michael Jackson and Prince looked ahead and then composed songs that were based on having seen the future? How else do you explain "Heal The World, Earth Song, Man In The Mirror, 1999 and Sign Of The Times?" There's some logic here but it's speculative isn't it? What about all of the predictions based upon the signs of the times? It's important to know that Predictions are based upon facts applied to projections. Predictions themselves are not facts until they occur. A prediction has no justification because it does not yet exist. Although a prediction may turn out to be true it cannot be proven until it happens. This is why we can so easily ignore any evidence or science presented to us. In the reality of the moment it proves nothing. Ignorance is the steward of neglect and inaction. Reality is not real until we experience it. Here are a few sure to happen predictions. We can anticipate that some of our jobs are not coming back. This prediction is based upon the fact that we were already in the midst of one of the greatest transitions in the history of the world. This pandemic has served to further accelerate that process. During this time of isolation it is advisable for many people to re-educate themselves and begin training for new careers. The loss of jobs, especially in the fast food industry, will affect restaurants in the same way that the taxi industry is affected by Uber, Lyft and other ride share companies. We can predict a renewed battle over healthcare that adds meaning to whatever color or culture is used to fill in the blank in front of "Lives Matter." At minimum, we'll be forced to address the shameful abuses and neglect that the native Indian population still endures. Maybe now everyone in this country can have indoor toilets, plumbing and electricity. The health effects from the lack of vitamin D especially for people with darker skin pigmentation will predictably have a negative effect in the long run. Blacks, Latinos and other cultures absorb and make less vitamin D from the sun due to their skin color. By staying inside this exacerbates the already prevalent heath issue of vitamin D deficiency. Here's another prediction, anticipate a lot of injuries such as muscle pulls and strains in the weeks and months following the end of our physical isolation. In addition expect a new epidemic of obesity. As we emerge from our present sedentary lifestyles back to more physically active behaviors there will be problems. We can foresee and therefore predict an impending domino effect that will continue to cascade wave after wave across the world. From local civil unrest to international conflict and tensions, economic and political systems will have wave after wave of collateral damage. We can predict the emergence of an ever expanding eye makeup industry for both women and men due to the necessary mandates requiring many of us to wear face coverings or masks. Companies like Revlon and Maybelline will dominate this space. There are so many things that follow logic and allow us to predict their outcome that habits, history and patterns offer us. This is why our data driven society can point out and offer predictions on everything from eclipses to earthquakes. However prophesy requires a prophet and is always based upon spiritual principles. A prediction can turn out to be prophetic but it's still just a prediction. According to Jeremiah 1:10 a prophet serves 5 to 6 major roles. A prophet is commissioned to root out, pull down, destroy, throw down, build and plant. Prophets generally are not popular or well liked people. Speaking truth to authority is never endearing. It carries the same hazards as correcting a parent or a president. If the greatest prophet that ever walked the face of this earth, Jesus the Christ, were to return in the flesh and speak to this nation as he spoke to Israel, we can be sure that he would be crucified again. This time it would not be by the Pharisees and Sadducee's but by democrats and republicans. Warnings are easily interpreted as threats when we hear them. In reality they are worse then threats when uttered by a prophet. An unheeded warning from a prophet is actually a predicted promise to be fulfilled whether we believe it or not! The true test of a prophet is 100% accuracy. WE CAN PLEAD, BUT THEY MUST HEED, ADDRESS THE NEED, AND THEN SUCCEED. The "new normal" is a term being tossed around that means different things to different people. Ignoring science is nothing new. Our history is replete with examples of business, political, religious and social denials of new knowledge that called for change. Scientific evidence and warnings have never been adequate measures for alarm. History will probably repeat itself once again. We'll most likely overcome this crisis through "herd immunity" and rush back to our old ways of doing business. One thing we can certainly predict is that the divisive spirit of contention will continue to manipulate human consciousness through conflicting visual and spoken ques. Every divisive issue that arises will be exploited by a spirit which will resist providing a unified strategy that it may practice deception through exploiting the "divide of the sides." If what we are experiencing now does not awaken us to the real effects of climate change nothing will. This year our planet celebrated "Earth Day" on its own. Throughout the world both animals and the atmosphere showed the signs of relief from the absence of our abuse and pollution. What will it take for the world to mount a unified response against the clear and present dangers we now face? A little known fact is that this virus can be carried and possibly transmitted through air pollution. Look at the amounts of infections around industrial centers and cities with more smog. Now that we've reduced the amount of fossil fuel emissions over a two month period, the air quality across the globe has improved. As far as nature is concerned humanity has become a virus to the planet, and ridding itself of the virus requires the demise of humans. However, once the immediate danger has passed, the race to economic recovery will restart a new cycle of pollution. It's not hard to predict the possibility of another wave in the form of additional pestilence in a sequence of impending events, if we fail to repent. This pronouncement can be regarded as prophesy!
