THIS IS WHY MOST SUPERHEROES WEAR A MASK!

There's always been a question 
that no one seems to ask
Why do our superheroes
most often wear a mask?

Their deeds are done in public
where everyone can see
their brave and selfless valor 
not their i-d-e-n-t-i-t-y

The things we do in secret
though they be out of sight
may never be rewarded
but yet we know they're right.

We're looking for more heroes
the one's who don't make news
the ones who care enough to act
​despite what they might lose!

Can we become a hero
through just a simple deed
would we then get the powers 
that superheros need?

Do we need certain armor
as special gals or guys
and if we chose to wear a cape
could we then even fly?

We now see superheroes
as they emerge by choice
We hear them as our champions
​because they raise their voice.

---

They have no secret weapons
no super swords or shields
but they have superpowers 
as they voice how they feel.

---

We see these superheroes 
stand firm while being bold
And taking up position
protecting young and old.

---

They care because they're sharing
throughout s-o-c-i-e-t-y
we see that putting people first
is their p-r-i-o-r-i-t-y

These true-life superheroes
have hearts that heed the call 
the things they do for me or you
will be what's best for all.

That's why our superheroes 
come from a different class
displaying love's example 
In public, they wear masks.
