THE WORD "SPIRIT" comes from the latin word "breath." BREATH, LIKE SPIRIT IS ASSOCIATED WITH "BEING ALIVE." NOT ONLY DOES SPIRIT INDICATE LIFE, WE ALSO USE IT TO INDICATE A MOOD OR INTENT.

Once again we will be examining common and familiar issues from a spiritual perspective. Some of our readers wonder why we generally address every subject or topic we post in a spiritual manner. The answer is; that whether anyone acknowledges it or not, we are all spiritual beings inhabiting human bodies equipped with intellectual minds. It's time to address spirit in every aspect of our lives. Spirit and spirituality are not just church terms. Neither are they solely associated with the magical, metaphysical, mystical, occult, other worldly, religious or the "seemingly" supernatural. We exist in a universe of spiritual energies and forces. A spiritual metaphor of how to deal with the Covid-19 virus  is portrayed in the book of Proverbs chapter 4 verse 15.  "Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away." Spirit, like air and water finds shape and form in the vessels it occupies. It can spread like a virus  or be quenched like a fire. One of the differences is that spirits have awareness, purpose/function and life. Even if we are unaware of their presence they can still manifest their effects. There continues to be an ongoing debate as to whether a virus is alive or dead. Personally we believe that it is neither. Viruses operates in the "spirit" of what contagions do. In their "raw form" they simply exists as chemicals waiting for a host. When we come in contact with them, we may expose ourselves to a "life form" that exists as a parasite. Sin and viruses works similarly. Lies, rumors and many diseases are spread the same way. Whatever we share we spread in thought, word and deed. All expressions require a platform, and as such we have provided and empowered an environment perfectly ripe for what it is manifesting.

 Any group or collective large or small is only a number of individuals. A group can have no rights other then the rights of its individual members.

What we're experiencing is the maturing and manifestation of our climate, culture and consciousness. Our acceptance of intolerance along with our failure to unite has fertilized the soil of sedition and fueled the fiery flames of apathy. We consented to the use of language carelessly. This is a "perfect storm" of conflicting beliefs and behaviors. Our attitudes and actions are indicative of the "spirit" in which these things flourish. We have provided the perfect environment that fulfills the perilous scenario depicted by the bible in 2 Timothy the third chapter.

The earth has an illness and the moon says "Get well soon." Take a look at planet earth's annual checkup performed by the N.O.A.A. That is an abbreviation for the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. If compared to a human body, we would see signs of heart failure and head trauma. The planet is quite sick as well as many of its inhabitants. The situation we face today is simply due to our failure to share and care for one another the planet itself. All resources, whether human, animal or mineral are here for our use not for our abuse. Because our hearts were not in the right place our heads allowed our hands to build and do wicked things under the guise of progress and prosperity. It's obvious, our own policies have forced us to separate ourselves from one another. At the core of today's contagions is the "spirit of competition." Real life shouldn't be embraced as a sport. Our current consciousness is to conquer, dominate and win at all costs. The cost of conquest  is that someone has to lose. We are repeatedly turning commerce into competition rather then cooperative collaboration. By abandoning a fair "win-win" scenario we have embraced a cutthroat win-loose culture. We coexist in a, now more then ever, connected world. It has become increasingly obvious that whatever happens to any of us eventually effects all of us. This is not a competition. We do not have to "BEAT" anyone else. We do not even have to WIN! What we NEED is for everyone to SUCCEED. It's possible! Whenever The "spirit of GREED" is exalted as good and GAIN is not shared, we can easily see "THAT THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL."   

Our homes & cars
we maintain them,
But not the Earth
which sustains them.

We'd rather fight and not unite
in spite of any guiding light.
Such is our plight & it's not right.

As a planet, a species and a people our selfish individual strategies are now working against us. We can't even unify ourselves over the public wearing of masks. Surely the chickens have come home to roost. Although our technologies, trade, transportation, communications and finances are all intertwined; our consciousness of being connected as human beings is not. By abandoning the "spirit of unity," and embracing a "spirit of division," even the citizenry and government of a country titled "United" is divided. Besides that, we are now facing another problem of "heart" that directly affects the "head." Our most dangerous enemy is now working INVISIBLY through the "spirit of unfettered thought​." Remember "spirit" may be described, not defined, as the "energy or life force behind the attitude or behavior in the consciousness of a manifestation." The greatest "terror" we face today is an explosive "mental health crisis," the likes of which we have never seen. Mental health, unlike physical health appears only to get addressed when an incident or situation forces us to deal with the fallout. Why is It that usually after the violent bombings, shootings and stabbings that we pay attention to the mental health and disposition of the perpetrator?

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE SPIRITUAL PRACTICES TO SURVIVE THIS MENTAL & VIRAL PANDEMIC

Although our approach to physical health care has some preventative strategies such as yearly check ups; mental health care does not employ this same type of policy. To our knowledge there are no annual mental evaluations we are aware of outside of the academic measurements in the form of grades from our schools. Whether people believe it or not we all will suffer some level of mental illness in our lives just as sure as we will all experience physical sickness. Today we need to form and follow our own plan of action with a "proactive spirit." Everyone needs someone to be accountable to. This is our societies first therapeutic line of defense. This is why our founders deliberately created the checks and balances in the design of our three separate branches of government. Each individual branch assists in the regulation of the others. This is where transparency creates trust. Speaking out and speaking up is as important as having and keeping a standard. A "spirit of cooperation" among the three separate but integrated parts of government are necessary for our system to operate properly and smoothly. We have formed a system of government. Spirit also requires "form" to manifest and operate through. Air, fire, germs, spirit and water can easily spread or get out of control if not properly channeled or contained. ALL SPIRITS GOOD OR BAD CAN OPERATE LIKE VIRUSES. In light of this, follow these principles and practices directly related to the "spirit of these times."

It's not that far fetched actually
One way is through more vitamin D.

The wind may blow from east to west
and it's ok to say we're stressed
We'll have to find some happiness
Through therapies that help us rest.

The most important thing to do at this time is to take care of our health. Health is an all inclusive term. Our spiritual, physical, mental and financial WELL-BEING are all interrelated. GOOD h.e.a.l.t.h. SHOULD INCLUDE Help THAT ENCOMPASSES ACTION AGAINST ADVERSE & LETHAL THREATS TO HUMANITY.
