EMOTIONS ATTACHED TO SLOGANS CAN SUBCONSCIOUSLY IMPRINT MEANINGS THAT INTELLECTUAL REASONING COULD NEVER DO THROUGH LOGICAL THINKING.UNIMAGINABLE, UNFATHOMABLE AND UNTHINKABLE ARE UNTRUE AND UNMENTIONABLE WORDS. Life is not fair it is impartial. Fairness implies being in compliance with previously derived rules or standards. "Unfair" insinuates that partiality is at work in the determination process. There is no uniform standard for fairness that applies to every aspect of life. Fairness is not a requirement for accomplishing anything. As a matter of fact, things that are accomplished under adverse (unfair) conditions may be considered more reliable due to having withstood such adversity. It is like "crying over spilled milk." Should we be dumbfounded by the number of things we say but don't really mean? How many of our lying expressions can we label as excuses for underachievement? How many times have we used the word "obvious" to frame a situation we easily understand but may not be grasped by those it is not obvious to. The statement is judgmental and belittling. It implies that a basic explanation is good enough and that further clarification is unnecessary. One thing obvious to us all, is that people simultaneously are collectively similar but individually different. We should "catch hell" for the "catch phrases." we use. We do not "catch colds" neither do we chase them. No one or nothing can "make" us anything and we do not "get" frustrated, depressed, or discouraged. These states of mind are subjective, conditional and usually temporary. The phrase "I guess not" seems to imply an expression of doubt in ones opinion of oneself. To say, "I can't imagine," minimizes our intellectual faculties! These invisible (intangible) aspects of mind work along with our sensory faculties hand in hand. To properly fool ourselves in the reality of our existence we must do so in both word and deed. There is always a minimum of two witnesses required to give credibility and establish certainty with fact. Eyewitness observation, as important as it may appear, is insufficient alone as absolute proof. Conclusions have more substance when reached from multiple factors or perspective. By paying careful attention to the words and language as well as action and behavior we gain insight. Why is it so hard to say what we really mean? Are we liars or do we simply want to leave as much room for interpretation like our politicians. We love to go on "weekend getaways" but what are we running to or getting away from. No one can have it all! What does that mean anyway? The saying, "You can have it all" speaks to potential not to abundance or accumulation. Even if we could get it all doesn't mean we are capable of handling it all! "It's working," is another expression that externalizes control and takes away ownership, cause and responsibility. "We're working it," denotes power over the situation authority and internal control. "I lost weight," is one of the biggest lies we tell. No one loses weight. It's not like keys we misplace or something we lose track of. Weight is attached to us. Losing a limb or body part is the only guaranteed way to "lose weight" unless we "cut it out." which really means stop eating not gastrointestinal surgery. Weight is not lost or found it is reduced or gained! Work is required for results. Why do we like to refer to "Shortcuts or Tricks" as meaningful solutions, when we're really endorsing evasive means or cheating methods. Exaggeration is nothing more than a way to disguise a lie. Let's face it as long as we continue to be ambiguous in our words and conversations as we are in deeds and actions our culture will reflect it in the language of news and governance. In a day where we all seem to be fighting a battle against weaponized words "Keeping it real" is just as important as it was in the past as it is now.
