It's the fight of our lives
not a hoax or a joke
two invisible enemies
like second hand smoke.

We can't see it or smell it
but it's spreading around
we can feel it's infection
​as it's germs bring us down.

And we fight on two fronts
while we battle each other
the worse enemy now
is our sisters and brothers.

---

The cruel failures of history
we are now forced to know
can't be buried or hidden
to deny what they show.

---

As we face these diseases 
like a storm we must weather
we will not find the cures
​if we don't come together.

through sounding the voice 
of our m-o-r-a-l-i-t-y 
let's eliminate hate 
and it's f-a-t-a-l-i-t-i-e-s

let the teachings of Jesus
now be fully applied
to include "black lives matter"
with for all whom he died
​

Jesus stood for the weak 
and the m-i-n-o-r-i-t-y
we can give them a hand
with just v-i-t-a-m-i-n D.

Yes we're fighting two foes
both are i-n-v-i-s-i-b-l-e
spreading thinking & germs
that are t-r-a-n-s-m-i-s-s-i-b-l-e.

There's so much we can do
to get out of this mess
these are issues & problems
​We all can address.

Looking back in the past
to the way people felt
they all rode in their cars
without any seat belts.

---

In those days even doctors
could not understand
the spread of infections
from their unwashed hands.

---

But we learn from the past
at least that's what we say
let's apply the past lessons
to our problems today.

So in this present time
is it too much to ask
not to spread hate or germs
​and to just wear a mask.

yes, We do have our rights
that need our protection 
but that is no reason
​to spread an infection.

---

Let's stop being selfish
these days are no hoax
let's all treat these issues
​just like secondhand smoke.
