 As I scratch the same ole itch from this daily life I live It gets sore and irritated from the attention that I give. Yes, the illness of my skin brings to me no satisfaction. The more I have to scratch it, the worse is the reaction.  This birth defect has held me back but I can not defeat it. Sometimes I feel a slight relief but still I have to treat it. The remedy for this disease goes far past medications. Today I just endure the pain and the disdain of separation.  I've even tried to pray a prayer against this skin disease. It was sincere so God would hear and thus answer my pleas. If I could just be born again and get things rearranged. I'd take a vow of chastity if one thing God would change.  I'd ask God for a color that I loved and made me proud. No itch would irritate me while I'm floating on that cloud. I'd be pretty as a rainbow and live life without attack. I'd trade this stress for days of rest to be no longer black.
