HELP FOR A HATEFUL PLANET IN AN UNHEALTHY WORLD

WHY ARE SO MANY OF US DISTURBED BY THE NEWS? WE ALREADY KNOW WHAT KIND OF WORLD WE'RE LIVING IN AND THE PREVAILING ATTITUDE MANY OF US HAVE ACCEPTED ABOUT BEING OUR BROTHERS KEEPER. BEING FRUSTRATED LIMITS OUR ABILITY TO ACT OR RESPOND RATIONALLY. WHERE DOES ANGER AND ANXIETY ORIGINATE? WE "FEEL" THEM FROM WITHIN our EMOTIONs. TheRE ARE four kinds of basic emotions. THEY ARE happiness, sadness, fear, and anger WHICH are DIFFERENTIABLE IN THEIR associatIon with three core affects. THESE AFFECTS ARE rewardS (happiness), punishmentS (sadness), and stress (fear and anger). THESE FEELINGS INFLUENCE OUR HEALTH. WHEN WE LAUGH OR CRY, THESE AUTONOMOUS REFLEXES REPRESENT A "STATE OF BEING" THROUGH THEIR UNDENIABLE PHYSICAL MANIFESTATIONS. LIKEWISE THE RESPONSE OF OUR COMBINED CONSCIOUSNESS REPRESENTS THE HEALTH OF OUR PLANET AND THE HOPE FOR OUR WORLD. 

HEALTH MUST BE MAINTAINED FOR HEALTH TO REMAIN 

Health has no subdivisions. Health is a holistic word that includes fitness, nutrition, emotional and spiritual well-being. We each bear the  individual responsibility for maintaining our own selves. We all share responsibility for maintaining our shared world. Ownership has responsibilities. Learning how to take care of our total health is an ongoing and evolving process. Health, as defined by the World Health Organization, can be summed up in a phrase. "Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." Financial health is so intertwined within the total scope of health, that the lack thereof affects every other aspect of our well being. There is a cost for everything. Nothing in life is free. "Free" only expresses the attitude or spirit in which something is given, not the value of the gift. The price of existence is effort. Information, knowledge and learning come with a cost. Even to grasp instructions we have to "pay" attention. Study is the price of education. Life is all about balance. Equilibrium always reestablishes itself. That is a universal principle. No one in this life lives forever, and even trouble don't last always. We can either work together or war against one another. The economy of war is always costly for every participant. Today's globally connected and economically codependent world needs unity. With a world population close to 8 billion, along with over 7 billion cell phones contributing to over 15 billion mobile devices; "global consciousness" has appeared. Today, injustices previously denied, hidden or disregarded can easily be broadcast and become viral. "Black lives matter" became a worldwide movement that recognized the plight minorities suffered in the United States. News of travesties will continue to increase exponentially along with many other factors in line with "Metcalf's law." Legal authority must eventually yield to moral authority when the populace (us) demands it. Until vigilantism is condemned at every level of consciousness, we will continue to see individuals like Trevon Martin, cities like Tulsa, Oklahoma and countries like Ukraine abused by stronger and more powerful adversaries. Today more and more people are not only seeing, but also saying and doing something about injustices. "Crowd consciousness and funding" is slowly replacing billionaires, corporations and dictators. There are more and more voices of discontent speaking in support for causes and concerns. Globalization and worldwide communications have released a Genie that cannot be put back in the bottle. The world and all its commerce, economies and trade are intrinsically tied together. Drastically rearranging or removing any major players effects us all. Don't think for a moment that these current scenarios were not thought and planned out on all sides! Reacting irrationally or to quickly can easily worsen conditions. A "macro" worldwide view must be considered and embraced. Executing a response-able (responsible) plan to resolve the present crisis may require a gradual strategy. Drastic changes can have drastic effects. There are no true winners in war. Even the victors will suffer wounds and scars for years to come. Health is both a personal and global phenomena. A healthy planet will produce healthy environments for plants animals and people. The pandemic allowed us to plainly see how badly we lack unity. It revealed that even when facing a common enemy we still could not mount a unified response. Even now, although most Americans are against what is happening in Ukraine, the two political parties continue their criticism of one another regardless of what the current leadership does. This is an unhealthy response to an unhealthy situation. This is not a spirit of cooperation, it is a spirit of conflict. In spite of these difficulties there is the hope that people will speak up, speak out and fight for the health of our planet!
