DECEPTION, DISTRACTIONS, WORDS, LIES & RHETORIC  

This post is about words, lies and rhetoric. Rhetoric is an art of persuasion utilizing grammar and logic. It is an ancient art of discourse. Rhetoric works through informing, persuading, or motivating specific groups or audiences by appealing to their thought process in an influential way. Now that we've heard all of the rhetoric and voted, it's time to start monitoring those in office. Our job does not end after election day it just begins. Our vote represents our voice and that's why understanding the power of words, lies and rhetoric is so important. Politicians tend to speak through an enigma wrapped in a conundrum. Why do we have to try to read between the (lies) lines? The reason is because the majority of us generally engage in rhetoric every day without being aware of it. Study the lies and they will tell us more of them. Study the truth and we'll recognize the lies when they appear. STOP LYING! We continually practice lying by commission (what we say) or by omission (what we don't say) habitually. We have unwittingly accepted this practice as a routine way of communication every day! It's time to say what we mean and mean what we say. Our tongue is the instrument our voice uses to express what the mind wants to communicate. The tongue has no bones, but it is strong enough to break a heart or heal a wound. Although the spoken word is powerful, the written word can sometimes eclipse it. The spoken word unless recorded exists only on two planes. The first plane is in the now "present" conversation. The second plane is in the always comparing and considering but weaker "memory" of the brain. The written word however can operate on three planes; the present, the past and in the future. This is why "words" properly preserved, presented and promoted are immortal and have a life of their own. Lies, even when believed have limited longevity. Rhetoric is generally spoken. It's harder to write rhetoric because the "words of rhetoric's" double meanings cannot hold their own on paper. The scrutiny of examining written words always exposes them for what they are if we want to see it. Words are the substance of truth, lies and rhetoric.

STICKS & STONES WILL BREAK our BONES WHEN we fAll for RHETORIC again

Most of us understand the concept of wasting time, but when it comes to wasting words and speaking, we don't apply that principle the same way. Unfortunately, many of us fail to realize that words ultimately span time and when we waste our precious words, we always waste our precious time. Words can be used and operated under one of two premises. They are either used to tell the truth or communicate a lie. Rhetoric is simply the artistic and colorful coding of conversation that tickles our ears through appealing to our intellect. Rhetoric is by its very nature biased. Whether we agree with it or not it is NEVER the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Many times, we think it's our job to convince others, but that's not our personal responsibility. It is the mission and purpose of the words we choose and use to penetrate the consciousness of the hearers. Our job is providing the energy, spirit and synthesis of delivery; the words jobs is conviction and enlightenment. Sometimes words don't stick because they simply were not the right words, rightly targeted or rightly applied. When we use them properly words always do the work for us. Abusing words or omitting some of them is manipulative and can impact us in multiple ways. In politics, politicians pollute words, phrases and meanings, that's rhetoric. Expressions like "people of color" makes no sense. We are all people of color unless we are transparent. It would appear that this racist expression (rhetoric) is simply used to separate "WHITE PEOPLE" from every other hue of race. What does the statement, "we condemn these actions in the strongest possible terms" really mean? This is another example of rhetoric. What words or terms of condemnation actually express this indignation? All words are mission oriented and can be weaponized as such. Words should always express our EXACT intentions, message and meaning. It's our job to make them do that. These types of " plays on words," namely rhetoric, distorts the message and exploits the hearers. Too many people hold "our" President "solely" responsible for contributing to the chaos seemingly incited by his words. The truth is that the electorate, that's us, failed to say or set a standard for acceptable speech. We watched and allowed name calling and bullying to pervade and poison our perception of one another. WE'RE ALL GUILTY! The words from the Statue of Liberty that encapsulate The American Dream is now excluding certain classes of people from achieving it. When disenfranchised people are not given access or allowed to compete, they cannot even become underdogs. Whenever a person, party or team is "expected" to lose we call them "the underdog." Minorities are underdogs. Women are underdogs. The environment is an underdog. We cannot root for an underdog that's not allowed to play. These "losers" have a diminishing chance of success. When we call them "losers" we see them as such and subconsciously expect them to lose. Words can be weaponized as labels that make even previously neutral titles derogatory descriptions.

*the TOXINS of OUR LIES POISONS THE POWER OF OUR WORDS*

The "entity" we form through the creative power of our WORD(S) takes on a life of its own. Understanding that whatever we say immediately becomes a force with a distinct and interdependent existence is a critical nugget of knowledge. When we twist words, they can become a noose around our own necks. What we actually desire and mostly want to bring to light, unequivocally, is the power of any and every single spoken WORD, PHRASE and UTTERANCE. Every one of our expressions contain power. The "spirit" of our articulations can affect both those who hear us and our own being. These expressions are a living essence and extension of our impact on life. Words carry spirit and can interact with the vibrations and harmony of the universe. Rhetoric is exploitative. Our actions are a manifestation of P-O-W-E-R, that is the Practiced and Orderly Words we Encapsulate Reality in. The spoken word potentially has the p-o-w-e-r to order occurrences especially if spoken in harmony with what has already been ordained. When we accept this fact we will refuse to allow any exceptions that would cause us to compromise any portion of our word. God's word is absolute; this is the caliber of excellence we are striving for. Just as rain and snow falls from the sky to the earth and goes into or sticks to the ground it can't be sent back. The effects are inevitable. Whether we drink it, swim in it or slide on it; whatever purpose that is fulfilled by the precipitation is final. As Isaiah 55:11 states, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." This is the standard that defines the significance of our original "WORD OF INTENTION" or VOW. Any Failure to execute what we say will gradually diminish the power and authority given to the words we speak. Words live and deliberately aspire to fulfill their utterance not just complete sentences. The power of words work at an intangible universal level and most certainly defies basic rational or logic. The strength of our WORD is a reflection of our integrity in two places, private and public. Our public words and private thoughts are expressions of spirit. The spirit in which we perform intentional actions makes the promises of the past, effectively powerful in the present and remarkably prevalent in the future. When a thought forms a desire, which becomes an intention it carries a certain amount of energy with it. The more encompassing the word of promise, the higher the level of commitment needed to fulfill it. Follow the evolution of our words. The statement is a declaration, the statements potential fulfillment becomes a pledge and the actual fulfillment is a voucher. The impact of words on humanity depicts its power. This may explain why our country is so divided over the simple exercise of wearing a mask at social gathering or in public. This is not a political issue it's a communication issue. Words were the weapons used to divide our beliefs and behaviors. Conceptually, nothing can take away our "freedom of speech." In reality there is no such thing as a "free" anything. Everything requires some level of effort and energy, there will always be a price to pay for it. The "freely received" and subsequently "freely given" words of Jesus cost him his life while it liberated ours. Whenever words are unfulfilled or not actualized they fade and weaken the strength of their source. Many promises are not kept and many vows are broken simply because "something comes up." Whatever gets prioritized above our word is a compromise. Any action or response considered to be more important then a "word of promise" indicates a misappropriation of values. Our prior "word of commitment" must always trump any present crisis.

*REALIZATION OR  REVELATION*

Anyone surprised by today's current events and our present status have not been reading our posts. As journalists we have covered multiple topics from environmental abuse to "qualified immunity" from a spiritual rather than a political perspective. We have consistently addressed divisive behavior, policies and speech along with the "power of words" whether said or not spoken. How could the Capitol Building have been taken over by demonstrators who were incited to do something they felt was a noble cause? This is a rhetorical question. A rhetorical question is a question that is asked merely for effect with no answer expected. The answer is obvious and already known by the questioner. It is important not to get side-tracked or be distracted by all of the events simultaneously occurring. The two biggest long-term issues we face today are the data breech and the corona virus. Are our political problems as important? Of course, they are! Does it appear that our system of government is functioning as it should? It will as long as we continue to participate in and monitor it. What we need to do is to put a greater emphasis on things that are going to last rather than things that are going to pass. Whenever we exercise the power of the "spoken word" it opens up a higher level of speech authority. An enlarged jurisdiction of influence goes along with that power. This is where the conciseness of our words expressions ranks higher than the actual words themselves. "Freedom of speech" is a principle. Unless we are physically disabled or mentally incapable of speaking, it is an individual volitional choice. The prerogative of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction is what we call "free speech." We are obligated to protect the rights of EVERYONE to speak freely as well as being responsible to challenge erroneous utterance, in every venue of presentation. Whether it's online, on television, in our newspapers, in our textbooks or on our jobs it must be questioned as it's quoted. Silence signals agreement but allowing expression enables us to be aware of detestable thinking or behaviors and engage it. Suppressing any dissension may prove to be counterproductive as it tends to encourage "festering secrecy." There will always be some form or level of dissent, even if only for the revelation and exposure of truth. "For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you." The key is to always say what we mean and mean what we say. "Let your communication be yea, yea; and nay, nay;" The mental effort to revise what we say and how we say it requires extra energy. All lies require additional maintenance, the truth can stand for itself if we stand behind it. When we implement a new policy of exact utterances, the old habits of communication must be killed, burned and buried. This keeps us from giving an opportunity for others to echo our mistaken or false claims. Although we may feel as if we've completely eradicated all of our evil communications, unfortunately they usually are not totally eliminated. Evil works like a "Whack-A-Mole." The old patterns and ways of conveyance will attempt to resurrect themselves and revive somewhere else within us. These "Habits of thought" will not go down without a fight. The former conversation, which had a life of its own, can return with a vengeance. The "spirit of pride" is determined to justify its presence and reinforce its message to our ego. Whenever we adjust our thinking and messaging, the effect of that practice begins immediately. Concise intentional language can revise the very essence of how our words are spoken and interpreted. These "re-visions" may create awkward pregnant pauses that feel strange and unfamiliar to us because they are. By refusing to give expression to thoughts and words known to be contrary, they cannot reside in our consciousness and are limited in the ways they can influence our thinking or behavior. Perhaps that's why the scripture says, "He that hath an ear, let him hear." Whether we like them or not, we should respect ALL leaders and hold them to higher standards no matter who they are. Unity calls for reconciliation and reconciliation calls for forgiveness not "tit for tat" attacks. The greatest among us must be the SERVANTS of all. We do not expect the parody's, spoofs and satire to cease. All politicians are targets and fair game. "The shoe is on the other foot" now and it's "quid pro quo" time again. We should not take any rhetoric that seriously like this video clip by Randy Rainbow.

*THE BOTTOM LINE no rhetoric*

The following sections should be considered as the compendium or conclusions found in the audio summary at the beginning of this post. Applying these principles to our everyday situations is what our posts are all about. To begin exercising control over our thoughts and words we must become aware of them. What we think is greatly influenced by what we see and hear. "Evil communications corrupt good manners." How, what and who we interact with influences the mind. The mind responds to nourishment in the same way as the body does based on what we feed it. Digesting rhetoric is quick and easy. Garbage in will produce garbage out. Fast foods may taste good, offer instant gratification, are convenient and cheap, but generally do not provide a full range of nutrition. Let's not be deceived by "the leaven of today's Pharisees," it is filled with rhetoric. Our media moguls and politicians have their own agendas and feed us the "broth of bias." It's far easier to process illusion rather than accept reality. We mentally look away when our minds are unable to process what our sensory faculties and intuition actually reveal to us. ​No matter how we look at it, life schools us and school teaches us. Remember in school we are taught a lesson and then take the test. In life we first get tested and hopefully learn the lesson. Calamities and adversities are the universal method of chastisement. These thing are not meant to destroy us, but rather instruct us. Our response to them should be one of reflection and repentance. Now is when we amend our thinking and our ways, rather then being defiant and resistant. "Know ye not that the goodness of the Lord leadeth thee to repentance?" God knows our hearts and we know our behaviors. Being in the Ark with Noah during the great flood or obedient to the Passover blood sacrifice commanded by Moses during the plague of death upon the firstborn in Egypt, were the only places of safety at those times. Likewise there is a place of safety during these tumultuous times. We should listen to the logic of our own intuition over the rhetoric of what we are being told. Diseases are impartial, our behaviors are not. Businesses, governments, politicians and scientist are all influenced by greater principalities and powers invisible to our physical senses. It's much easier to make predictions based on facts rather than rhetoric. Here is what we  expect!

OUR STATISTICAL PREDICTIVE INDICATORS 

Through utilizing the latest "optimistic" statistical data from the C.D.C alone things look grim. Statistics is a form of mathematical analysis. It uses quantified models (logical equations) that represent given sets of experimental data or real-life studies. Statistics employs various methodologies to gather, review, analyze and draw conclusions from factual data. SIMPLIFIED: THIS MEANS THAT "THEY" CAN EXTRACT REALLY CLOSE MODELS TO WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN FROM APPLYING MATH TO DATA. If anyone hasn't figured it out by now we are scrambling to create effective logistics to disseminate our vaccines. Logistics can be defined as a detailed coordinated strategy for executing a complex task. Everyone should be aware that the these vaccines require two doses for their greatest efficacy. This tells us that EVERY 10 doses will accommodate ONLY five people. The current vaccine shortage along with a weak deployment plan has initiated the new strategy to vaccinate as many people as possible with only one dose and afterwards the second, as it becomes available. This is a good alternative in that 1 in 5 Americans have already been infected. The proposal by the new federal leadership to deliver 100 million vaccinations in 100 days will require executing a near perfect strategy flawlessly. The ability to inject a million shots a day requires careful diligent planning and unparalleled military precision. This is the type of robust response required to attempt to get ahead of this virus and get to a position where we can begin to be proactive. The next 3 months are critical! If the supply chain can facilitate it and the majority of citizens submit to the federal mask mandate, there is a fair chance that this viruses grip will be loosened by the spring and some real relief comes by the end of this calendar year. Lets not fool ourselves. The success of this effort is critical. Although we hope to see a historical accomplishment, we must remain vigilant. This should not be classified as a great scientific and sociological victory, though we hope it to be; or a tribute and testimony of our great American resolve and ingenuity; though we hope that it is. Much of that sounds like the triumphant banner of rhetoric. This is a must need to succeed moment that may be seized upon and used for the vain purpose of fame, but it is more important that success comes regardless of who or where it comes from. The poison of partisanship has perpetuated this calamity to a place where our sowing to the wind has resulted in us reaping to the whirlwind. This is the time that our enemies enemy is our enemy (covid); making our original enemies (one another) at least temporarily our friends. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." This is it, "root hog or die." Should this effort fail rest assured "our goose is cooked." "Failure is not an option." Listen to that rhetoric! The Bible teaches us explicitly how to deal with the "spirits of error and enmity" especially among the fellow members of our church communities. In the final analysis someone will be found in error. How we deal with them and their errors must be in done through the "spirit of reconciliation" with both severity and love. "And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."

OUR MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC LIMITATIONS

Here are some hard and cold SCIENTIFIC FACTS! Some people with COVID-19 do just fine. Others die. And then there is everyone in between. So, what determines disease severity? Everyone should know the risk factors by now. It’s mostly vitamin D deficient, older age, males, minorities, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and like comorbidities. Not everyone with severe COVID-19 fits that mold. The number of viral particles we get exposure to before the immune system can react matters. The number of viral particles that land on your mucus membranes is the viral dose. An infection can start with a few viral particles. However, the higher the initial dose, the more likely the immune system will not clear all of the viral particles. The viral dose required to make us sick seems to be very low for the early strains of COVID-19 and has decreased in the newer variants. Now it's even easier to get infected. The CDC added cumulative exposure of 15 minutes or more into the definition or formula of infection. It's evident that even a series of small exposures may cause infection. We may not know the minimum infectious dose needed to result in illness or whether multiple small doses or a single large dose is more likely to lead to getting this disease. The amount of virus someone gets into their system depends not only the duration of exposure but also the viral concentration's proximity. Viral load is the level of replicating virus in the body and is measured by copies per ml. We can determine whether the SARS-CoV-2 virus is present in the human body by collecting samples from the nose, respiratory tract, blood, or urine. In the midst of all of the rhetoric, one thing that's not being said is that this virus is UNDETECTABLE by any test during its incubation period. This virus is unique and counter-intuitive in the way it operates. Unlike most colds and viruses, the SARS-CoV-2 virus is more infectious in its non-symptomatic stage and less infectious (ability to spread) when the person infected is most affected (sickest) or hospitalized. Community spread occurs mostly among those that have no symptoms at all. As we've reported in previous posts the profit incentives must be taken into account. Medicines make millions and vaccines make billions for drug companies. This may be why ivermectin, monoclonal antibodies and other remedies are being downplayed. Such rhetoric is occurring at the expense of millions of lives worldwide. Covid sniffing dogs and the like can be used to mitigate the spread of this disease if added to the repertoire of detection and treatment strategies.

WATCH TV - THAT IS TESTING AND VACINATION

There are two basic kinds of tests that utilize three different methods of testing in current widespread use. Once we have a basic understanding of the two types and the three methodologies we can better develop the best overall testing strategies. We will try to simplify the differences between them although the FDA has to date authorized over 300 COVID-19 tests and collection kits. All of these tests are either diagnostic or serologic. A diagnostic test needs to have contact with a specimen of the virus collected usually by some oral means. Serological testing involves studying the serum and other bodily fluid generally through drawing blood. The most common, reliable and sensitive diagnostic test if performed correctly is called a nasal/oral PCR (nose throat) test. This is where a genetic sample is obtained by swabbing way up in the nasal or way down in the throat. It is highly accurate if done correctly in a manner as to cause the nose to run or the throat to gag. The sample collected is then lab tested but the results require time, usually days. The best test is to get a direct sample from the NASOPHARYNX located in the upper part of the throat (pharynx) that lies behind the nose. It's a box-like chamber about 1½ inches on each edge. It lies just above the soft part of the roof of the mouth (soft palate) and just in back of the nasal passages. The nasopharynx functions as an airway in the respiratory system, also contained within the nasopharynx are the adenoids, or pharyngeal tonsils. The quickest method, serology testing of the blood is used to determine if a person has been infected in the past! It looks for antibodies which our bodies form against an antigen (virus). Antigens are any foreign substance that induces the immune system to produce antibodies against it. Even these tests are not fool-proof and can yield information that may be interpreted differently over a period of time. These simplified explanations are not comprehensive but should give our readers some understanding of a complex phenomenon. Vaccinations and vaccines are one of the major success stories of modern medicine. Although the development of vaccines may be considered as one of our greatest scientific achievements, it is the deployment of vaccinations that makes the real difference. The downside of vaccinations is that they give us a false sense of security. It can take up to three (3) weeks for a vaccine to properly teach and integrate with our immune system for its full effect. In the interim we are still able to transmit the virus as well as still vulnerable to be infected.  Vaccines don't stop viruses vaccinations do. By greatly reducing the incidence of infectious diseases such as measles have been stopped dead in their tracks. Vaccines have eradicated others such as smallpox and controlled the spread of other viruses. The "administering of vaccines" have saved millions. Conventional vaccine approaches have not been as effective against rapidly evolving pathogens like influenza or emerging disease threats such as the Ebola or Zika viruses. This is why the recommendation to our readers is to accept, respect and embrace this paradigm shift. By not understanding the spiritual forces and energies behind occurrences we're forced to come up with our own deceptive logic that actually makes no practical sense. We generally think it does because our egos trick us into believing that what actually is illusory is real. We deceive ourselves by following feelings that are filled with psychic and emotional energy indicators. Rather than accepting logical natural and spiritual laws and principles, we follow feelings. This inversion of application causes us to engage in self destructive behaviors. This is the thinking that causes many of us to become our own worse enemy. Maybe we can see the light at the end of the tunnel now, but the length of that tunnel is unknown. Although we are on the right track the train is no where near the station. The race is on its infections versus injections and at this time the infections are ahead in the race. When the weather gets milder again it may be possible to include more safe social ventures such as shopping and outdoor sports like baseball. But be prepared for a bigger "tsunami like" devastating wave to follow. For now our advise is to get the vaccine if available, minimize ALL contact with people, surfaces and places and more importantly adopt the practice of wearing a mask as much as possible. Remember we all see the same things differently. Everyone is not able to follow our exact example but we are staying inside our home for the next three months and beyond if necessary.
