STOP DREAMING! WHAT WE REALLY MEAN TO SAY IS TO STOP BUYING INTO THE IDEA THAT WE FORM DREAMS ON OUR OWN! WE DO NOT ADVOCATE ABANDONING DREAMS. WE JUST NEED A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT THEY ARE AND HOW THEY WORK. DREAMS ARE SOMETHING WE ALL HAVE BUT NEVER REALLY GET TO OWN. DREAMS MANIFEST THEMSELVES PRIVATELY AND INDIVIDUALLY TO EVERYONE. WE DO NOT LIVE DREAMS, BUT WE CAN LIVE INTO THEM. DREAMS HAVE A SPIRITUAL NATURE TO THEM. THEIR EXTERNAL ORIGINS OPERATE ON OUR INTERNAL CONSCIOUSNESS. OUR OWN BEHAVIORS, DREAMS, IMAGINATIONS AND THOUGHTS MUST BE TRAINED AND/OR SUBJECTED TO MUCH HIGHER STANDARDS THAT ARE NOT OUR OWN. WE DO NOT AUTHOR OUR OWN DREAMS. DREAMS ARE EFFORTLESS APPARITIONS THAT APPEAR EVER SO BRIEFLY AND THEN ARE GONE. ALTHOUGH A DREAM CAN REFLECT REALITY, WE SHOULD NOT CHASE THEM. DREAMS HAVE NO PROBLEM FINDING US AND FILLING OUR MINDS WITH THEIR IMAGES AND SCENARIOS. THE BIBLE ADMONISHES US TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT WE THINK AND SAY THAT DREAMS MEAN. DREAMS COME WITH AN AIR OF JUDGEMENT. OVER TIME WE WILL DISCOVER THAT in the multitude of OUR DREAMS THERE ARE VANITIES. WE CAN BE EASILY INFLUENCED AND SWAYED BY CONVERSATIONS FILLED WITH COGNITIVE AND CONFIRMATION BIASES. SOMETIMES WE MAKE HASTY CONCLUSIONS OUTSIDE OF THE FEAR OF GOD'S JUDGEMENT. HERE IS WHY EVEN OUR IMAGINATIONS MUST BE DISCIPLINED. THIS IS A PRICE WE ALL MUST PAY AS THE COST OF HAVING A FREE WILL!DON'T FOLLOW DREAMS INTERPRET THEM!There's a lot of hype and misinformation regarding dreams these days. It is important to properly distinguish dreams from aspirations, callings, desires, feelings, imaginations, lusts, thoughts and wishes. Dreams are defined as mental, emotional, or sensory experiences that take place during sleep. The key word here is sleep. This implies an unconscious, if not subconscious, autonomous, involuntary event. Dreams carry interpretations and meanings that specifically relate to a current or future time. The fact is that although dreams are an internal private phenomenon, their genesis comes from external origins and/or sources. Dreams along with "words" have the capacity to span the gap between our natural and spiritual realms of existence. Dreams carry a personal message that is usually played out in public at an event, forum or occurrence to come. Dreams are the most common and intense during REM sleep when brain activity increases, but no one knows why for sure. Dreams are not aspirations. Dreams are like a wish in a fairy tale. Many times, dreams are called dreams because they are unachievable, unreachable and unrealistic. They say there's nothing wrong in dreaming but apparently there is. Dreams by design come to us. They are not assembled by us. We do not consciously form or make them up! Our wildest dreams are usually not that wild. Many of our dreams lack meaning and can be pretty strange. A dream is only a dream and carries no consequence or meaning without coming true. If so, that implies that dreams are generally associated with the future. We should not be dreaming our future we should be planning, preparing and working our future. Dreams can be confused with divination. Today, what might be considered as manipulating energy was previously called divination. Fortune tellers, gypsies, mediums, palm readers and psychics operate off of hidden knowledge. Looking into the future through supernatural means, outside of consulting God, is divination, idolatry or witchcraft. DELUSIONAL OR DIRECTIONAL: FACT CHECKING OUR DREAMS Many songs referencing our dreams are actually about our mission and callings. So, what are the significance of our dreams? Dreams are a spiritual experience in the sense that they have no physical origin to them. Dreams allow the physical and psychological aspects of our existence to be periodically rejuvenated. Although our bodies and souls require daily restoration, recovery and sleep; the spirit never rests. This is the realm where dreams operate. Sometimes God choses to communicate with us through dreams. Dreams can link us to the spirit world in ways that our intellect might ignore. Sometimes our attention gets so distracted by everyday life that we lose focus on what's important. Dreams by design are meant to warn and enable us rather than create fear or cripple us. To dream "the impossible dream," dream of a "white Christmas" or to achieve "The American dream" are common expressions that take dreaming out of context. Life is not simply about dream careers, dream cars, dream homes or dream achievements. Dreams are more about awareness and understanding than anything else. Although we "have" dreams, they actually "come" to us. It is not known exactly where in the brain or mind dreams assemble, form or originate. They seem to have multiple purposes at both the physical and psychological aspect of our existence. Dreams are a supernatural complex combination of biological, emotional and spiritual interactions occurring in the brain during sleep. Dreams occur in the brain but have an effect on our minds. Let's make the distinction. The brain and the mind are interconnected but they are individually unique. The brain, located in the head negotiates all of the bodily functions through the neural and hormonal networks from the pituitary gland to the vagus nerve. The brain spends most of its resources autonomously, regulating the body. The remaining balance is allocated to our brain's thinking. When we tell one another to think and use our heads, we're actually referring to what the brain has left. Most of our thinking is deliberated by our mind which runs throughout the body but is centrally located in our gut. These are what we describe as gut feelings. The feelings in our gut is how we settle thoughts in our minds. The physical brain operates electrically and mechanically. The virtual mind operates intuitively and spiritually. The mind operates off of beliefs. The brain operates off of its capabilities. The neural pathways from the brain that we establish, lose or give up on, tells the mind of our intentions concerning it. The mind simply processes whether it can or can't by speaking faith into form. This may be why some amputees can still feel their limb even after it is gone. The mind operates off of intangible unobservable thought. Although it is a powerful force, it cannot speak belief into B.S.! Thought is intuitive and generally operates between external and internal limits. Thought is easy to refer to and use because we instinctively exercise it even during sleep. However, thoughts intuitive attributes, makes it difficult to define in terms of exactly how it works. Thought is spirit driven! Please take note of the difference between thoughts in a dream, thoughts of exercising faith and thoughts for holding a belief! Remember, we cannot change our brains, but we can change our minds. This illustrates the dynamic capacity of thought. Thought is not static. We have some control over our own destiny. Maybe that's why we dream. We cannot dream without sleeping. Dreaming is not something directly under our control. Many sayings regarding dreams are deceptive. There is no such thing as the "American dream." These are simply the dreams we have in America. Nightmares are not really dreams! They are invasive images or memories designed to disturb our consciousness. They infiltrate our minds for the express purpose of haunting us. Spirits often infect our thoughts and attempt to corruption us whenever and wherever they can, including within our dreams. Dreams are private and operate within the "sounds of silence" until they are told. THY WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET AND A LIGHT TO MY PATHA new year is upon us. This is a time for resolutions, ambitions, goals and dreams. There is sure to be lots of hype that we can attach hope to. This is when we are told to dream our dream. The phrase "dream your dream" generally means to allow oneself to experience dreams without judgment or interference. This out of context phrase, encourages individuals to let go of societal expectations and embrace the unconscious minds' messages. Selling something like dreams, that cannot be brokered, is an easy profession this time of year. Unlike dieting and quitting smoking, selling a dream requires very little work initially. The psychic energy required to buy into a dream comes with lots of momentum but usually has no lasting substance. Dreams still have significance as a spiritual conduit for God to communicate with us. There are approximately 21 dreams of significance recorded in the Bible. They all share similar characteristics. The dreams we have should be examined under the same scrutiny. God spoke to Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Daniel, Kings, Pharaohs, Wise Men and Peter through visions and dreams. Joseph shared a dream with his brothers that almost led to his death! That same dream brought him into captivity, slavery and imprisonment but ultimately to authority, power and prestige. Today we have the principles and standards found within the bible. No former or future dreams and revelations can supersede the Biblical teachings relative to man's design, intent and purpose. “Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.” No further revelations are needed. No new prophecies are required. Standards unlike laws and rules span time in spite of life's vicissitudes (adjustments or changes). God's standard and ways are unchanging. We need the guidance of God's word shining as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. A DREAM IS MORE THAN AN IDEA, NOTION OR THOUGHT IT CARRIES THE ENERGY OF SPIRITWhat is a dream? Where do they come from? When are they created? Why do we have them? Does everybody have them? Do any or all of them have meanings? We have discovered some answers to these questions. We can reach many objective accurate assessments if we are honest with ourselves. Anyone that dreams has to go to sleep. Dreamers need an imagination and a memory. There is no level of expertise required to talk about or interpret dreams. This is one area everyone is qualified to discuss. Let's describe some things we all can agree to about dreams. Dreams are creations. They have a virtual/imaginary origin that applies to and interfaces with our real existence. By definition a dream is a succession of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. One hypothesis defines dreaming as a way to act out unconscious desires in a safe or "unreal" setting. Presumably to do so in reality would be unacceptable or even detrimental. Once a dream is known it can be owned. This implies that just having a dream is simple, anybody can do it. The next step is to own the dream. Only after this occurs can we live out the dreams. Although dreams manifest as depicted acts, programs or stories outside of reality they can have real effects on our lives. We can find it convenient to classify dreams as one of two types. The first category is either lucid or involuntary dreams that occur during sleep. The second category is a desirable state or condition we hope to achieve through conscious awareness and effort. Both categories appear to coexist and give expression to one another. The safety of the "type one" dream gives us the ability to pursue any "type two" dream. The coexistence of our sensory faculties with our intellectual faculties, that makes anything created in our minds possible to materialize, is another way of defining a dream. The term "defining" is by no stretch of the imagination firm or fast. The examples we use are an attempt to present a focal point for the conceptualization of the idea not a definition. In fact all of the principles and concepts in our writings, should not be regarded as absolute or concrete. They are only the pictures we paint in our efforts to present that thought. We take no responsibility for the source only the synthesis. DREAMs are not for sale |
AuthorJoseph W. Brown has been a small business owner, in the technology industry, for over 40 years. He operates as an ITA. An Integrated Technologies Aggregator practices the art of first assembling, next correlating and then finally corroborating various facts from distinct disciplines. Once this is completed, an "ITA" illustrates how these different fields of study are connected. It culminates in presenting inconclusive but irrefutable evidence of the relationships between biological, chemical, electrical, environmental, monetary, physical, psychological, social and SPIRITUAL principles. He strives to present evidence in a cohesive, practical & simplistic manner. Joseph is an unconventional and unique speaker & writer. He describes himself as a natural man with the sensitivity of a spiritual maven. He is an apologist and spiritual scientist. Joseph insists that we "find" motivation from within by getting inspiration from without. He endeavors to provide that inspiration through applying various Bible based principles. As the author & founder of The Magnetic Model, Rapid Retail Systems & NitchTechnologies.com. Mr. Brown is available to speak to groups of all sizes. (small & large) He will only speak on a "Subject." He relies on the principle of "shedding light" to empower individuals to address their own particular "Situations." These are the tools to create "Solutions."
