THE SPIRIT it takes to "TELL TIME" 

WHAT TIME IS IT? IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT TIME WAS CREATED FOR MANKIND. TIME GIVES MAN A SENSE OF EXISTENCE THROUGH HISTORY AND DESTINY. THIS IS A TIME UNLIKE ANY OTHER. AS A MATTER OF FACT, ANY AND EVERY "PERIOD OF TIME" SHARES THIS SAME CHARACTERISTIC. HISTORY DOES NOT REPEAT ITSELF. HISTORY CAN ONLY RESEMBLE ITSELF. TIME IS NOT ONLY A MEASURE OF EVENTS, EXPERIENCES, MOMENTS AND OCCASIONS; TIME IS APPOINTED! THE CURRENT TRAUMA OUR PLANET IS EXPERIENCING IS SIMPLY THE "TIME" WE ARE NOW LIVING IN. THIS IS "THE SPIRIT OF THE TIMES." WE SHOULD NOT GET BEWILDERED BY DISEASES, WAR, SHOOTINGS IN CHURCHES, HOSPITALS OR SCHOOLS. BE-HEADINGS AND MULTIPLE ASSOCIATED ATROCITIES ARE OCCURRING ALL AROUND US. THESE ARE COINCIDING EVENTS, TRUE COINCIDENCES. GEOGRAPHICALLY SEPARATED PEOPLE ARE SUCCUMBING TO SIMILAR SPIRITS. SPIRITS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARIES. THIS IS "A TIME OF HUBRIS," "A TIME OF SELFISHNESS" AS WELL AS "A TIME OF SELF DESTRUCTION." WE ARE UNDER SIEGE FROM WITHIN. WE NEED LOOK NO FURTHER THAN RIGHT AROUND US. IT'S TIME TO UNDERSTAND THAT AS A SOCIETY WE BECOME WHAT WE FEED ON AND MANIFEST WHAT WE EAT. IT'S MORE THAN JUST A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS! THIS IS A SPIRITUAL DEARTH DILEMMA. LET'S CALL IT OUR MANIFEST DESTINY. OUR MINDS AND SPIRITS ARE BEING FED ON A CONTINUALLY GROWING DIET OF BOTH ACTUAL AND VIRTUAL NIHILISM. OUR BELIEFS AND TRADITIONS ARE BEING CHALLENGED AND CORRUPTED THROUGH OUR OWN MULTIMEDIA PLATFORMS. TIME AND TIME AGAIN WE REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKES WITH DIFFERENT ACTORS. THERE HAS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE A "TIME" OR A "TIME OF," ALLOWED, APPOINTED OR SET FOR HISTORICAL SETBACKS AND/OR ACCOMPLISHMENTS. THESE PERIODS OF TIME, KNOWN AS DISPENSATIONS, DELINEATE AND MARK HISTORY. WHEN WE LOOK AT HISTORY AS A TALE THAT'S BEING TOLD, BOTH TIME AND SPACE SIMPLY BECOME A PART OF THE STORY. TIME ALONG WITH SLEEP, ALLOWS OUR SOULS TO ENDURE, TOLERATE AND WITHSTAND A HISTORY OF ABUSE, ANARCHY AND APATHY. OUR CONSCIOUSNESS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING REQUIRES A CERTAIN DEGREE OF MENTAL STABILITY. THIS IS WHY SLEEP IS SUCH AN IMPORTANT STEP IN SPIRITUAL RENEWAL. WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO DEAL WITH HARDSHIPS OVER TIME, OUR SOULS, (THE SEAT OF OUR CONSCIOUSNESS)  WOULD CRACK UNDER THE STRAIN. THIS POST IS ABOUT THE SIGNIFICANCE AND THE SPIRITUAL MEANING OF TIME. LIFE IS TRANSITORY. TO GRASP IT'S SPIRITUAL RELEVANCE WE MUST REDEEM TIME. LET'S EXAMINE "TIME,"  "TIMES OF" AND "REDEEMING THE TIME."

LESSON 1: WHAT Is TIME?

Time is a gift. In math, time is simply an ongoing and continuous sequence of events occurring in succession. We call it past, present and future. Time is used to quantify, measure and/or compare the duration and sequence of events along with the intervals between them. Celebrating our birthdays only marks an event not an accomplishment. Although we think that we can divide time, we cannot! Years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds are not time. They are only how we keep track of, or measure it. Whatever amount of time we think we have is not ours. As a commodity, time is an asset equally shared by all. When time and/or its offspring, "longevity" is attached to an actor, event or organization its significance holds a greater weight. How we perceive an action and its meanings is how we relate to and deal with it over time. Time is not our enemy, but we do have a weapon that we can use against it. Employing "the spirit of patience," allows us to gain the time we need for change. The behaviors we allowed our pampered spirits to indulge in yesterday and adhere to today will re-emerge tomorrow. The "spirit of the time" plays an important part that influences the way a situation is addressed. It is important to know what spirit is behind an action to understand its true significance. Although spirits may be timeless, they work through time. Spirits are subject to people and can be used or abused by us. We are also part spirit and can be aided or manipulated by them! Spirits if allowed to influence our behaviors can disguise and entrench themselves within our personality as "familiar spirits." A behavior and the spirit behind a behavior may appear to be different. The symptoms may not match the sickness. The signs may not coincide with the situation. Behind every contrary behavior there is a contrary spirit that may or may not "appear" to be contrary. Spirits are not monsters. In order for a contrary spirit to abide and remain within our domain we must adopt or allow it. Any spirit we accept must be matched, mirrored or masqueraded as a part of our own personality over time. There are different periods of time required to gradually assimilate the characteristics that many spirits possess into our behaviors. Many of us coddle and nurture these spirits by allowing them to operate in an illusional manner. We often disguise them by creating contradictory impressions. It would appear that spirits are pretentious, but they are not. Spirits are alluring and wily. It is we who are hypocritical and pretend to be what we are not until we eventually are. Practice does not make perfect. Practice performed correctly should yield improvement. The more we practice something, right or wrong, the more comfortable we become at and used to doing it. Habits both good and bad ones, "form" out of practice. Deceit is no exception. Spirits are not always deceitful but sin is. Repetition over TIME can reinforce and seal behaviors. It is our habits of thought and their accompanying behaviors that expose our vulnerabilities. Wickedness allows spirits to take advantage of our internal lusts. Righteousness allows us to yield our spirit to the "spirit of the living God."

LESSON 2: WHAT IS THIS A TIME OF?

THESE ARE VIRAL TIMES! In a globalized world whatever gets traction is likely to spread. The advent of the internet popularized the term "viral." When it came to spreading ideas and inventions, going viral was what people wanted to achieve. When it came to diseases, viral spread is what we wanted to avoid. This is a time of challenging transitions and selfish indulgence at our own expense. The covid crisis and the pandemic, though interrelated, were different. Covid-19 presented itself "inconspicuously;" yet physically in a grotesque, visible and tangible form. The pandemic manifested itself undeniably in a social, spiritual, virtual and psychological way. This event altered our timing with the greater sidereal movement and disrupted our circadian rhythm. Although the timing was simultaneous the effects are proving to be different. Our lack of balance and extreme polarization is not just local, it is worldwide. This is a time of uncertainty with the certainty that it's a time of transition. This is a time of diseases. Our planet, politics, people, plants and peace are infected. During this time of overwhelming sensory bombardment, suppression and accelerated information we are also experiencing "conscientious awakenings," many will misinterpret and miss this paradigm shift. This has become a time of incentive's and rewards for emboldened outrageous behavior. If our leaders are allowed to demean and tear down their opposition without rebuke, then their followers will do the same. Leaders are feeders and followers are on their diet. Leaders can unite us through them or drive wedges between us from them. A "righteous spirit" can save the day! Although disparate governments and polarized leaders abound, a globalized stream of communication has connected "thought consciousness" (our spirits) in unexpected ways. An extreme or totalitarian regime can kill people, but no government or religious organization can kill an idea. Even within Iran ideas of personal freedom continue to rise. Who would have thought hundreds of thousands of men in Russia would rather abandon their own country rather then fight for it. Why are so many oppressed women finally taking a stand? Although Jesus once saved a woman from being stoned for adultery; not wearing a hijab in public or having an abortion can be cause for stoning them today. Remember, it was not the occupation of Rahab the harlot that gave her name honorable mention in the bible, it was her faith! This is a time of consequences as opposed to results. All consequences are results but all results are not consequences. Be careful, this a contagious time. We can expect all types of viruses at multiple levels of our existence to take turns. Whether biological, environmental or social contagions also operate at a spiritual level. This is a time for intercession above legislation. Those of us, called out to be the "salt of the earth" need to concentrate on interceding through prayer and righteous behavior. We can advocate and demonstrate a righteous mentality, but we cannot legalize or regulate morality. God does not impose his will upon us. We are "free moral agents" and choice is what makes us free. God allows life to reap its consequences upon us. If the "Ten Commandments and the 613 laws of Moses were not enough for a chosen people to adhere to; what makes us think that we can impose morality on a nation lacking spiritual mentality? We are intuitively aware of what this is a time of. We must respond by correctly deciding what this is a time for. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

LESSON 3: redeemING THE TIME!

"Redeeming the times" requires waiting and working. The word "redeem" implies compensating for defects and/or insufficient performance. It encompasses the methodology along with the act or acts of reclaiming, recovering and regaining something previously forfeited or lost. Time can be redeemed but redemption calls for sacrifice. Those of us that have  been redeemed must take on the responsibility of  sharing and spreading it. We are the salt of the earth. Although we don't own or control time, we can lose it. Good times, hard times and/or bad times do not define times, they can only describe circumstances within time. To recognize any of it we must acknowledge all of it. ​The largest unit of time is called a super-eon. This unit is composed of eons. Eons are divided into eras. Eras are in turn divided into periods, epochs and ages. This is a good place to start recognizing time. Time has no beginning or end. Waiting on change is not the same as making change. We can redeem time through our walk. Our attitude and behavior says more than any law or ordinance ever can. For this planet to survive itself, we must be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. ​Too many of us have our perspectives twisted. This is not a sprint or relay. This is a marathon, but it's only a lifetime long. This gives us time to train, plenty of opportunities to correct mistakes with enough chances to recover and get our second wind. However there's not enough time for everything. The purpose for us living is not to eventually die. Death separates us from one state into another. Death is a change of status as well as a change of form. People who believe that death is final have very little understanding of Jesus' mission and how we exist. When our "time comes," as everyone's does, it does not signal the end of time, but rather an individual transition. THE "Flesh" simply deteriorates back into the dust from which it was created. It was used as a temporary medium to interact in and could have lasted permanently in a perfect world. Our "soul," the personally owned and individually controlled gift to us; negotiates our existence in the flesh part of us, through the spirit that quickens us. (gives us life) We are energized by the spirit in us that makes us alive. The spirit, that universal connection and link to living; operates from the spiritual realm but without a body, like a fish out of water, returns to its "SOURCE;" Back To God.  "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."
