SPIRITUAL! WHAT IS SPIRIT?

THE MOST PRECIOUS THING IN THE UNIVERSE IS LIFE. LIFE'S SOURCE OF ENERGY CANNOT BE SIMPLY CATEGORIZED, COPIED, MANUFACTURED OR DUPLICATED BY MAN. THE TERM WE USE TO DESCRIBE THIS PHENOMENA IS SPIRIT. SPIRIT IS simply THE "ENERGY form" of existence BEHIND ALL LIFE. SPIRIT, THE VERB, GIVES CONTEXT TO THE MEANING OF "SPIRIT" THE NOUN, DUE TO THEIR DISTINCTIONS OVERLAP. SPIRIT IS THE NON-PHYSICAL PART OF A LIVING PERSON OR THING. SPIRIT DESCRIBES THE FORCE BEHIND NATURE AND LIFE. WHEN SOMETHING IS "SPIRITED AWAY" IT DENOTES A LEVEL OF HIDDEN SECRECY. JUST AS NO ONE KNOWS THE WAY OF SPIRIT. NO ONE KNOWS THE WAY OF THOSE BORN OF "THE SPIRIT." life is about changing OR EVOLVING from one "form" OR STATE to another. spirit is PHYSICALLY INCOMMUNICABLE AND IMPALPABLE. HOWEVER, "WORDS" DESCRIBING THEIR ATTRIBUTES HAVE SPIRIT AND CONTAIN THE CLUES ABOUT HOW spirit OPERATEs. A PASSAGE IN THE BIBLE TELLS US "GOD IS SPIRIT," NOT THAT GOD IS A SPIRIT, PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND. AFTER ABSORBING THE INFORMATION IN THIS POST, AS READERS WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE AND SEPARATE OURSELVES FROM MANY OF OUR QUESTIONABLE AND UNDESIRABLE MOODS OR ATTITUDES. THESE CAN BE ASSOCIATED WITH SPIRITS THAT AFFECT OUR "SPIRIT OF BEHAVIOR." IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DISTINGUISH OR RECOGNIZE THINGS THAT INFLUENCE US WITHOUT AWARENESS OF THEM.

The word "spirit" is casually used so often and in so many different contexts that its true meaning and significance is generally obscured. It is the "spirit of things" that describes the mood or vibe of the moment. It is the "spirited performances" that we all remember the most. When they say "that's the spirit" it means we have the right attitude. Spirit cannot be defined only described through contextual meaning. Contextual meaning implies a definition in which the meaning of a word, expression, or symbol is partly or wholly determined by definiens. This allows the definition to be derived from the meaning of a larger expression that contains the word. By using definiens, the meaning of a word may not be directly defined but can be closely associated with something else that conveys the same meaning as that word. Too often when we hear the word spirit there is a tendency to associate it with ghosts. The relationship is warranted but our understanding is warped. A simplified way to distinguish ghosts from spirits, is to think of a ghost as a disembodied soul lost in the spiritual realm. Think of spirit as the energy of thought manifested in our behaviors. We are mostly composed of spirit! Unfortunately, it is the most ignored aspect of our existence. Our sins separate our spirit from the "Spirit of God," the father of spirits, and we must be willing to submit to that restoration. Yes, we are spirit too, and the "vibes" we have and feel in an ongoing basis indicates as much.

ACKNOWLEDGE IT OR IGNORE IT... DEAL WITH IT OR IT WILL DEAL WITH US...

Picture
Spirit can be described as "will of behavior." Again these are only descriptions of the energy of our motivations and actions. However, spirits are not behaviors! Spirits work through our behaviors to manifest and/or disguise themselves. This is why it is important to evaluate situations from a holistic perspective to properly minister to people. Dealing with our issues often entails us addressing the physical, psychological and spiritual components of an experience. The psyche can be considered as the spiritual side of our existence. Spirits are always influencing us and everybody else everywhere! We often feed off of the energy of others through a spiritual connection to them. When we break a horse or train a dog we are actually interrupting or subduing that spirit. Momentum is one measure of spiritual force, influence and attitude. Whenever we impose our will, we are subduing some aspect of spirit. Energy is a force that can be manipulated, used and molded to our liking. Spirit personifies the manifestations of these attributes. Spirit is like the "mo-jo" of our individual existence. If we control spirits, their influence can be beneficial. If we allow a spirit to control us, susceptibility to it influences feelings and whims that can overwhelm us. Spirits may be regarded as possessions. We can possess them, but they should never possess us. The spirit of something, like a personality, describes its intangible attributes. A person with a helpful or giving spirit is easier to approach and entreat then a person with a selfish and greedy spirit. Spirit has some correlation or involvement in every aspect of our existence. Unfortunately, many people are unaware and ignorant of spiritual effects. "Spirit" in many respects, represents the personification of our way of doing things. Like air and atmosphere, spirits are everywhere. We walk through and among them. We cannot physically see spirits, but if we sensitize ourselves to their presence we will sense and feel them!

WHAT IS SPIRIT? SPIRIT IS WHAT CONNECTS US AND EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE. WE ARE ALL PSYCHOLOGICALLY AND TECHNICALLY CONNECTED BETWEEN OUR NATURAL AND SPIRITUAL EXISTENCES. THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CONNECTION COMES THROUGH "SPOKEN AND WRITTEN WORDS," THE TECHNOLOGICAL CONNECTION IS "REVEALED" THROUGH THE "COMPUTATION OF NUMBERS AND MATH."

Keep in mind and understand that individually each of us has our own spirit. That spirit which gives us life is a gift of God. No spirit no life! Animism suggests that all living things possess a spiritual essence. Animism also includes objects such as rivers, mountain and stars. This post does not deal with the soul which is a characteristic unique to human beings. It is our own spirits that we must teach and train. Our spirits have the ability to connect with other spirits and as such must be in subjection to the standards we impose on them. When we allow other spirits to influence or occupy our spirit, we can fall victim to the emotionally backed beliefs that come with them. We feel the movement of emotions in our spirits. We have feelings and feel emotions! When beliefs get attached to feelings, whether they are valid or not, we can erroneously embrace them as fact and truth. We all must confront and control the influence of spirits. The spirits that we choose and allow to abide with us or in us, represents not only what we are but also who we are. Our zeal for life and its challenges represents a measure of spiritual energy. Our personal spirits do not belong to us. They are gifts of GOD, the author of all life. As we age many of our physical faculties diminish. Eyesight, hearing and physical stamina dwindle over the years. The last chapter, chapter twelve (12), in the book of Ecclesiastes renders a great description.  There is an unseen, but not unknown relationship between thought, verbal expression and manifested action. Spirit may be regarded as the conduit that connects them. The distinctions are subtle. Many other spirits are entities that "act on" and "take advantage" of our inherit weaknesses to express themselves. They manifest as if they are actually a part of us, but in reality, they are not! It is only when we embrace them that they can become "familiar spirits." Familiarity breeds contempt. We must guard against becoming too familiar with behaviors/spirits that misrepresent our true character. We are not our behaviors. Many times, by name calling, we unwittingly use the "spirit in words" to label and characterize one another. Some spirits work to get many of us, to assign certain traits to some of us, in their efforts to divide all of us. We should not degrade one another verbally with slurs. The words we use to label someone, or something subconsciously allows us to see it in that light. Calling someone a dog permits us to treat them as one. To wrestle against spirits, we must identify and focus on the spirit of the behavior rather than on the individual, group, culture or country expressing it. We all have the ability to separate both our own and other people's behaviors from their true being. How we behave at any given moment does not define who we are. However, the vessel must bear the responsibility for whatever it allows itself to contain! Any individual's spirit is subject to that individual. Intentions are like threats; they have no real power until they become actions. It is the spiritual energy of a threat that holds the power to cause chaos, if the vessel containing it allows it to.

IT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS TO US ALL THAT THESE ARE CHALLENGING AND CHANGING TIMES. BUT SOON THINGS WILL GO BACK TO "NORMAL". don't believe the hype! THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME! WHAT WE ARE EXPERIENCING IS A REDEFINING OF TODAY'S ZEITGEIST IN LIGHT OF A MAJOR PARADIGM SHIFT. BEING AWARE OF THESE FACTORS WILL HELP US TO DEAL WITH THE byproducts PRODUCED FROM the STRESS OF THESE TIMES. THIS is SOMETHING WE'LL BE EXPERIENCING FOR YEARS TO COME.

No man is an island. Now that we've been forced to distance ourselves we understand this saying. "Humans are pack animals." We all exist individually but need to interact socially. The harmony of human interaction is achieved whenever we lower our own personality enough to allow others to express their individuality.

Seeing ourselves as a part of a larger universal process gives a better perspective of our individual role

Crisis clouds clarity! It's hard to see clearly while in the midst of a crisis. Clarity generally comes after a crisis has completed its course. This gives more meaning to the saying that hindsight is 20/20 vision. They say seeing is believing. Sight defines the direction and perspective we see from (insight foresight hindsight). What appears   through our bias is "deceiving believing."
A lawyers "advice" is his stock in trade, A bankers "financial insight" is his position of leverage, an innovators "insight" is his source of solutions, and an inventors cup of tea is in the "relevance" of his inventions. Everyone and everything is defined by its true significance to something else. Our perspectives will either elevate us to, or eliminate us from, true reality.

THE HABIT OF PRACTICING PROBLEMS ENDS WHEN WE FINALLY FACE THEM

Problems are a part of life.  How we deal with them makes problems practical or makes problems into bigger problems. We can chase money but we'll never catch it all. We may achieve a dream but never reach all of our goals. Whatever position we find ourselves in can be regarded as a problem or just the place we're in at that time. The fame and fortune we encounter along the way will eventually fade. Power and riches are fleeting. It is the goals we obtain that stand as our real accomplishments.
Only 2% of women head banks yet they handle most of the finances in homes world wide. Women are more practical with money and take less risks. Some say if Lehman Brothers had been Lehman Sisters the Recession of 2008 would have been avoided.
Picture
The processes we use to face and focus on problems determines our feelings about them. There is no principle of feelings. Feelings are virtual - they are not real, we create them. Prior to "feeling" them, these emotional components don't exist. Therefore feelings are only as real as we make them. We get to choose whether we feel them or not. This is something learned over our many years of development. The principles that influence feelings are many. The biggest problem with problems is that the word itself is negatively associated. In addition, the real nature of problems are often misinterpreted and therefore misunderstood! Problems are simply looking for solutions. We can become a hindrance to them finding one another. All Problems by their very nature are both multidimensional and progressive. Problems are neutral; they do not exist in and of themselves. Problems are created! problems are an innate process formed by existence's momentum. Problems are a byproduct of progress! Too many of us are addicted to our problems pains. A problem is experienced any time something is out of balance. There are two major categories of problems. There are problems that pose ongoing difficulties and problems resolved by ongoing solutions. In reality problems are only a problem when they progress to a point of hindering progress. Problems have no bias. How we quantify (rank) and examine (magnify) them makes them what they are.

DEFINE IT, DEAL WITH IT, DESTROY IT AND HOLD ON TO DELIVERANCE

Picture
Let's examine three factors; facing, focusing and feeling. Whatever we face we acknowledge. Our focus is an indication of intensity. Our feelings must be interpreted for meaning. Left to themselves things generally get worse. Although things may seem to continue to work, ignoring a problem will NEVER solve it. It is through "focusing" on the problem specifically that will either magnify or identify it. Facing things under a microscope allows them to appear differently from the way we first viewed them. When focusing on something we see it differently but that difference may only be in the details. Likewise when dealing with a problem at first glance we may not see the severity of it. But after close examination we might come to the realization that the problem was greater than originally thought. This discovery should offer some consolation in that the focusing part of the process has worked. We can only address the things we are aware of. It is through "focusing" on, and then after carefully and closely "exploring" these situations, that we learn how to respond to them. Whatever is revealed should be regarded as enlightening. It is far better to embrace the emotional feeling of being informed rather then the anxiety of becoming overwhelmed. The concept of focusing should be regarded in terms of how microscopes work. A small germ under a microscope is magnified thousands of times just so we can see and understand it. On a computer screen germs may appear huge but in reality they are minuscule. Like many of our so called problems, it is how we see them that determines how we deal with them. By applying and embracing these principles, the power over our problems increases dynamically.  As we practice expressing this power over problems we may falter from time to time. It is not necessary to be the best at problem solving, but we are obligated to do our best to solve the problems.

IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO pUT THE GENIE BACK IN THE BOTTLE FORCIBLY. ONCE THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG ITS HARD CAPTURING IT AGAIN. REALIZING THAT A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE ALSO IMPLIES, THAT TO LITTLE MAY ACTUALLY BE TOO LATE. THE SPIRITS OF ANIMOSITY, INFERIORITY AND hATRED HAVE BEEN UNLEASHED. THE PANDORA'S BOX OF INSULTS AND OFFENSIVE RHETORIC WAS UNLEASHED DURING THE PANDEMIC, FROM THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF LEADERSHIP. JUST LIKE THE VIRUS ITSELF, THE "SPIRIT OF HATE" HAS now CONTINUED TO SPREAD AND MUTATE. SO TODAY tHESE SPIRITS HAVE FOUND ANOTHER TARGET. IN ADDITION TO BLACK LIVES, ASIAN LIVES ARE NOW FACING SIMILAR PERILOUS ATTACKS. THESE BEHAVIORS GENERALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE MOST VULNERABLE. THESE BULLIES HAVE STOOPED TO A NEW LOW AGAINST OUR ASIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS. tHESE SISSY COWARDLY SPIRITS ARE EXPRESSING THEMSELVES PHYSICALLY BY ASSAULTING AND ATTACKING DEFENSELESS AND ELDERLY ASIAN CITIZENS.

The Hounds of Hell excerpt, by John Masefield (circa 1920)

"When daylight drove away the dark
And larks went up and thrilled,
The shepherds climbed the wold to mark
What beast the hounds had killed."

"They came to where the hounds had fed,
And in that trampled place
They found a pedlar lying dead,
With horror in his face."

Terrorism is a dreadful experience and living in fear  is stressful

The internal anxiety from the terror of assault, attack or being killed is something most "BLACK Americans" just live with. This has not been the case for many other Americans until now. Although multiple instances of RACISM have been perpetrated against just about every ethnicity, the centuries of forced slavery sets African Americans apart. Much of the implanted rhetoric of RACISM has been cut down over time. Unfortunately the "roots of RACISM" were left intact and have budded again. Weeds will regrow without being rooted out. Weeds will grow across, around or over anything within their reach including trees or brick walls. The "viral weeds" of RACISM have now attached themselves to the ASIAN community. The chocking has been evident for some time, but now the strangling begins. All lives matter only if ASIAN lives matter too! The truth is that "HATE" is color blind. The Spirit of Hate operates through giving us a "REASON" to feel animosity towards others, which justifies its abhorrent behavior. By ignoring and overlooking the activities and signs of such pernicious expressions we have now succumbed to the "spirit of APATHY."  As we warned our readers in 2018 to be prepared for 2020, so we admonish them again to actively resist the spirit (attitudes, behaviors and, feelings) of hatred. The energy of resentment, spawned by the "Spirit of Hatred, is now creeping quietly among our legislators. The new mantra seems to be, "if you lose change the rules." New voting laws designed and engineered by predominately WHITE people have suddenly become prevalent. New voting laws have become the new thing. This subtle expression of disdain underpinned by embracing a lie and promoting fear has rallied people towards deception. Why have attacks against ASIAN Americans increased since the Pandemic? IT'S RACISM! Why has the governor of Florida delayed the special election to replace a deceased BLACK state representative? IT'S RACISM! Why are so many states revising their voter laws? IT'S RACISM! These changes are solving problems that do not even exist. Why do "people of color" exhibit such low self esteem, self hate and prey upon one another? IT'S RACISM! Internalized RACISM is the tendency of someone belonging to historically oppressed ethnic groups to regularly invalidate, demean, and/or suppress their own culture. This may also be reflected in their behavior towards other marginalized groups like ASIANS. Why else would BLACK people with a history of being oppressed and persecuted also participate in these attacks?  IT'S RACISM.  Is it so hard to see?  We all have chosen at one time or another, whether consciously or unconsciously, to remain unseeing in situations where “we could know, and should know, but don’t know because it makes us feel better not to know.” Why have two pandemics been defined by some of our leaders through cultural tags, like the SPANISH flu or the CHINESE virus? IT'S RACISM! How is it that neither former republicans nor present democrats have resolved our immigration and border crisis? IT'S RACISM! This form of RACISM is not based upon color but upon status and importance. The border crisis seems to have been further exacerbated by the last presidential election of a Democrat. Yes, we have to give them a chance but we can certainly do better! RACISM has been so subtly embraced, cleverly disguised and redefined that many people don't recognize it anymore. This is why we want to expose our readers on how to recognizing its fads and forms. RACISM is not actually a spirit, it is the conditions within an environment that harbors certain types of spirits. RACISM is not a natural instinct or inclination it must be taught. Whether it's learned consciously or unconsciously the spirits that foster RACISM work within the thinking of individuals who carry it around like a virus. It's like an itch! Maybe that's why people no longer recognize RACISM when they see it. What a wise disguise. The "China Virus" like the Washington REDSKINS, The Cleveland INDIANS, The Milwaukee BRAVES, The Kansas City CHIEFS and multiple other teams and organizations continually celebrate conquering, dominating and enslaving people. How would we feel if after welcoming visitors from another country, they invaded our neighborhoods? How would we feel if following that they annexed our lands, displaced our families on RESERVATIONS, broke treaties made to establish peace and then slaughtered thousands of us? Why is it so difficult for us to recognize the signs of inequality? IT'S RACISM! How can we continue to treat the children of the PEOPLE we conquered and abused so bad? Why do so many Native American Indians Still lack indoor toilets, plumbing and basic health care services? IT'S RACISM! While we spend billions on space travel, war and business interests people are dying of want. Why do we allow this to continually happen? IT'S RACISM! Maybe now we can understand why C.R.T. (Critical Race Theory) is creating such a stir among people on both sides of the issue. IT'S RACISM! It is not our planet that lacks the resources to sustain us. It is we who lack the will to distribute and share those blessings. Although the problem of RACISM in this country is systemic, behind it there are forces maintaining that system. Defining ourselves primarily in terms of race is shortsighted. We are all made in the image of God. RACISM singles out human images. This means that RACISM is blind to and denies the image of GOD. At the root of RACISM is "spiritual wickedness." The most egregious problem this country has, is with the "spirit of Hate" expressed through RACISM.

HERE'S HOW WE ALL CAN HELP

It's easier to identify a problem than it is to find a solution. In part this is why we are so excited about blockchain technologies infiltrating our ecosystems. WHO LET THE DOGS OUT? We did, that's who. How, some might ask? If the answer is not apparent maybe the wrong question is being asked. Perhaps the better question should be, How did this all happen or how does this all operate? What we are dealing with today are the dual effects of RACISM. The first form is practiced by society towards others. The second is internalized by those victimized. Internalized RACISM is actually a form of social and psychological brainwashing. It is important to understand that internalized RACISM typically occurs in the context of a dominant culture/society that often discriminates against and oppresses marginalized groups both overtly and covertly. It is also important to know that there are some people with internalized RACISM who are conscious of their own cultural identity struggles. There are other victims of internalized RACISM in denial or blind to their own cultural biases and shame. We all carry some form of bias towards everything. When our biases are influenced by RACISM they take on the "spirit of hate." Many victims of internalized RACISM were raised in prejudiced environments where discrimination against marginalized cultural groups was the norm. This blueprint extended into all social, educational, professional, religious and political environments. Like any "cast" system it maintained itself. We cope with and compensate for our inner cultural identity struggles by trying to fit in. Some people who suffer from internalized RACISM may openly reject and even lash out at their own cultural group in order to gain “mainstream” acceptance. By suppressing our cultural identity, and denying our true selves we can imagine and then recreate who we are. Once the damage is done there's generally no turning back. When we reject our own culture, the members of that culture in turn subconsciously reject and/or resent us. This is how the cycles of gaslighting operate. When the perpetrator, the dominant and discriminatory society, convinces the victim, the marginalized individual, that they are much less important and worthy than they are, gaslighting begins. The victims in turn gaslight themselves, their own cultural group, and often other marginalized groups. Spirits operate through our thinking and consciousness. Those who do not believe in the spirit world can substitute other words like attitude and/or behavior in its place. We are not born into behaviors we learn them. Behaviors can be interpreted as the expressions, signals and signs of internal thinking. Most of us have wayward thoughts from time to time but we do not act upon them. There are others that lose control over their thoughts. This is where, rather then controlling their thoughts, their thoughts control them. As a result we are all impacted by the manifestations of these behaviors in society at large. Believe it or not our individual moods and attitudes are just a small part of a larger combined pool of feelings. Everybody hurts sometimes. What we contribute into the vast pool of feelings through our daily expressions and attitudes in some way affects everyone else that dips in the pool. Although we all swim in the same subconscious pool of feelings, many of us only swim on the shallow side. This is where we unconsciously embrace divisive thoughts and spread their energy through sharing them with others. Encouraging people to be who they A.R.E. will help tremendously. It is difficult and stressful to pretend and practice living a lie. Observing, researching and understanding other cultures helps them to feel free to be who they A.R.E. and prevents them from perpetuating the cycle of internal RACISM. IT IS IMPORTANT TO Admire, Respect & Embrace DIFFERENCES. If we do not acknowledge and teach this, we will reap what we've sown. “Humans don’t like injustice, and when they cannot easily fix it, they often engage in mental gymnastics to make the injustice more palatable. Blaming victims for their suffering is a classic example.”
